Click the links below to find out more about the missions at Good Shepherd. We want to be a good neighbor to those living near us and to shine the light of Jesus Christ to the community, nation, and world around us.
Specifically, we have embraced twin metaphors founded on Jesus' declaration that "I am the light of the world" and "You are the light of the world." We desire to be a LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH, serving as a beacon and guiding light to our neighbors, signalling safe harbor (sanctuary) and guidance in the night. In the name of Jesus Christ, we welcome any who would come into the reach of our ministry.
We also desire to be a SEARCHLIGHT CHURCH, joining God's mission to seek and save those who are far from him, even as the Good Shepherd in the Bible left the 99 sheep to go find the one that was lost. We do not want to rest content in our building, but want to engage our neighbors, community, and world with the hopeful and good news of God's love and salvation in Jesus Christ.
